The exhibition has been prepared on the occasion of the centenary of Lada’s picture series „Witty tricks of Frantík Vovísek and the Billy goat Bobeš“ that can be considered as the first Czech comic strip of modern type. The visitors get acquainted with the evolution of Czech picture series from the 19th century till today.
Represented are both famous artists such as Jaroslav Foglar and Jan Fischer, Jaroslav Němeček, Kája Saudek, Lucie Lomová or Pavel Čech, and less known, nevertheless for Czech comic strip important authors. All the generations will be happy to find your favourite works, be they well known pictures from their childhood or comic strips dealing with more serious social themes.
