The Moravian Museum obtained the house in Hudcova street 76 in 2009. Step by step, several departments moved to the new premises: Centre for Humanistic Studies, Methodical Centre for Museum Pedagogy, Department of History of Literature, and Department of History of Biological Sciences - Mendelianum.
On the 1 April 2015 a totally new department of the Moravian Museum was created in these premises: Centre for Cultural-Political History of the 20th century; since 1 July 2018 its name has been modified: Department of History of Antitotalitarian Culture. Collections of the Department of History of Literature and those of the recently created department are the most extensive holdings kept in this building. A large part consists of Jiří Gruša archive that stood at the beginning of the collections of the Department of History of Antitotalitarian Culture. With regard to this fact the building in Hudcova street received the name "Jiří Gruša House" in 2016.
The Jiří Gruša House stages permanent exhibitions of the Department of History of Literature and those of the Department of History of Antitotalitarian Culture; there are also storerooms of several museum departments and a modern multifunctional classroom.
